Gobble 'til You Wobble

How to navigate the big Thanksgiving feast...

Food is something that everyone enjoys. While some of us enjoy food to the fullest , and others just use it as a fuel. In today’s day and age, we have options: we can choose to eat foods that taste good but are bad for our bodies, or we can choose to eat healthier foods that will give us the nutrients our body needs.

Thanksgiving is when the choices we have to make get the hardest. Here’s how I think through Thanksgiving dinners.

  1. Stick to a high protein diet, go for the turkey first - a lot of it.

  2. Then hit the veggies.

  3. Next, I try a bite of every carb that’s on the table- just so I don’t feel like I missed out on anything.

  4. Finally, you can’t forget the amazing pies that and other desserts that Thanksgiving is all about.

But how can I eat all that and not destroy my gains??

Simple. Workout earlier in the day and eat less for your other meals.

I usually keep Thanksgiving day a cardio only day so I can burn as many calories as possible to make more room for food. As for breakfast and lunch, I eat lighter - avoid carbs and stick to high protein.

Enjoy the day and don’t feel guilty. Taking a day off won’t destroy all your progress.

Happy Thanksgiving!
